Two Time US OPEN CHAMPION. 1999 EPSN Half Pipe Gold Medalist.
Jimi Scott has always been known for being mainly a halfpipe rider, but what most people don't know is that he freedrides when he's not on tour. He tries to take his skating background and progressive halfpipe tricks and incorporate them into his free riding. This board is more directional, slightly different if you're familiar with Jimi's older boards. He wanted a board to ride fast in the trees, and also be smooth and responsive enough
to ride any halfpipe with the greatest of ease. His graphic of the bottom of the ocean, is taken at a particular surf spot in Hawaii that produces one of the most perfectly shaped right hand barrels you could ever imagine. It just so happens to be Jimi's favorite spot in Hawaii. If you haven'y figured it out, the spot is Backdoor and if you've had the oppurtunity to see it when it's on, you'll know what we're talking about.

Type II Construction
Type II offers thes best qualities of both sidewall and cap construction -combined, the Type II has a fresh feel that optimizes performance. The cap structure provides greater torsional and longitudinal strength which results in a board that we can build lighter while maintaining important flex and ride characteristics. This additional structure provided by the cap, combined with the lower profile of the sidewall produces the best edge control for better carving. Type II has a great balance between sidewall and cap construction with regard to board dampenining - thinner than a sidewall board, the dampening sidewall down the rails absorbs vibration while mainataining a lively crisp feel. All of this with the durability and repairability of a conventional sidewall board.
