Type II Construction Type II offers thes best qualities of both sidewall and cap construction -combined, the Type II has a fresh feel that optimizes performance. The cap structure provides greater torsional and longitudinal strength which results in a board that we can build lighter while maintaining important flex and ride characteristics. This additional structure proovide by the cap comnined with the lower profile of the side produces the best edge holding for better carving. Type II has agreat balance beween sidewall and cap construction with regard to board dampenining - thinner than a sidewall board, the dampening sidewall down the rails absorbs vibration while mainataining a lively crisp feel. All of this with the durability and repairability of a conventional sidewall board.
